A further 2,056 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Scotland within the last 24 hours.
Data has been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland (PHS) this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, there are 998 patients being treated in hospital which is down three from yesterday. There are currently 65 people with the disease being treated in ICUs.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 145 to 40,772.
Of the new cases, 69 were from East Ayrshire, 53 in North Ayrshire and 24 attributed to South Ayrshire.
A total of 577,282 positive tests have now been recorded from 3.221 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.

According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, West Lothian has the highest rate in the country – at 464.6 as of Monday, October 4.
North Lanarkshire has the second-highest infection rate at 433.3 while Falkirk is third with 404.8.
In terms of Ayrshire's local authorities, South Ayrshire's rate is 402.2 and it is 382.1 in North Ayrshire. East Ayrshire's is 381.6.
A total of 16 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 314.2.

There have been another 21 deaths in the last 24 hours which means 8,687 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,991 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, September 26 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 136,986 as of last night.
There are 121 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is down 11 on yesterday, and seven in ICUs, which is the same as yesterday.
Nationally, a total of 4,223,719 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 3,849,656 have received their second dose.
