West Lothian is now the fifth lowest in Scotland for vaccinations.
As of the latest Public Health Scotland data from March 22 there have been 69,515 in the county who have been vaccinated with their first dose.
This works out at 46.4 of the population having had their first dose of the vaccine, and shows that West Lothian is improving.
In previous weeks West Lothian lagged behind at fourth bottom, with Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Those three council areas are still scoring low, with 37 - 38 per cent of their population vaccinated with the first dose.
However, West Lothian is now above Renfrewshire with 44.9 per cent and is edging closer to the fifty per cent mark that most other local authorities are close to achieving.
NHS Lothian predicted to The Courier last week that this would be the case, once they had caught up with supplies.
Na h-Eileanan Siar remains top of the vaccinations tables with 68.1 per cent of their population vaccinated.
Whilst the Shetland Islands with 64 per cent and the Orkney islands with 62.4 per cent are second and third highest.
The PHS website also shows that 96.3 per cent of current care home residents have received their first dose, and 81.7 per cent have had the second jab.
In Scotland there have been 327,490 frontline health and social care workers to have received their first dose of the vaccine.
