There have been a further 5,692 cases of coronavirus diagnosed in Scotland within the last 24 hours.
Data has been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland (PHS) this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, there are 805 patients being treated in hospital which is up 34 from yesterday. There are currently 77 people with the disease being treated in ICUs.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 328 to 32,346.
A total of 475,027 positive tests have now been recorded from 2.875 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.
According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, North Lanarkshire had the highest rate in the country – at 1,252.6 as of Sunday, September 5.
Inverclyde had the second-highest infection rate at 1,228.9 while West Dunbartonshire was third with 1,178.4.
In terms of Ayrshire's three local authorities, North Ayrshire had the highest rate of 812.7 while South Ayrshire's rate was 684.9 and East Ayrshire's was 682.6.
A total of 20 of Scotland's 32 council regions had an infection rate below the national average of 792.5. Up-to-date rates are not available for the time being as the PHS dashboard is inaccessible.

There have been 16 new deaths in the last 24 hours which means 8,181 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,554 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, August 29 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 133,274 as of last night.
There are 48 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is up four on yesterday, and six in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 4,128,998 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 3,742,826 have received their second dose.
