Another 3,367 Covid cases have been announced in Scotland within the last 24 hours.
Data has been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, there are 317 patients being treated in hospital which is down seven from yesterday. There are currently 33 people with the disease being treated in ICUs.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 215 to 26,121.
Of the new cases, 79 were in North Ayrshire and 71 attributed to South Ayrshire. There were 65 in East Ayrshire.
A total of 373,143 positive tests have now been recorded from 2.604 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.
According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Dumfries & Galloway has the highest infection rate in the country – at 381.7 as of Wednesday, August 18.
The second-highest is West Dunbartonshire which has a rate of 295.4 while North Ayrshire (289.0) has the third-highest rate.
Elsewhere locally, the rate in East Ayrshire is 218.8 while South Ayrshire's is 180.1.
Currently, 16 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 216.1.

Seven new deaths in the last 24 hours which means 8,508 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,464 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, August 15 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 131,260 as of last night.
There are 16 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is up one on yesterday, and fewer than five in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 4,068,806 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 3,512,673 have received their second dose.
