Pub set to open within vacant building in Nottingham street

Another pub is set to open in a main Nottingham street.

Plans have been tabled to open it within a vacant unit next to Brown Dog Interiors, in Derby Road.

As part of the project, the back of the property is expected to be converted into a one-bedroom flat with access from Wollaton Street.

An application has been submitted to Nottingham City Council to change the use of the property.

The applicant is listed as Mr Jason Norton.

There are already a number of pubs along Derby Road, including the Raglan Road Irish Bar, the Hand and Heart and micropub A Room with a Brew.

A decision is yet to be made on the recently-submitted application.
