A popular Bolton pub has reopened its doors after being devastated by flooding in May — just one day before lockdown rules eased to allow punters indoors.
The Beehive Inn, in Horwich, was destroyed by the flooding on May 17.
Now, the boozer boasts a new look, updated menu, and brand-new Wacky Warehouse children’s play centre after undergoing a six-figure transformation.

Bosses say the agonising wait to reopen has allowed the pub to come back ‘better than ever’.
“We absolutely can’t wait to reopen our doors to customers – it’s been a very long six-month wait,” Caitlin McAllister, general manager, said.
“We’re thrilled to be coming back better than ever, and we’re looking forward to welcoming returning regulars – as well as many new guests, we hope.”
As well as re-introducing the quiz night, the Beehive will host a number of live music nights in the run up to Christmas, bosses say.
Local celebrities helped unveil the newly renovated business.

Mayor of Bolton, Coun Linda Thomas, her husband Len — and local Horwich VIP Sam Ormrod and his son were there at the launch, join in the celebrations, and formally cut the ribbon.
Sam is the founder of Sam's Warriors — a community group that helps people rediscover themselves through healthy lives and minds.
When the Beehive asked for nominations for a Bolton VIP to open the pub, they were inundated with nominations for Horwich-based Sam.
The pub is also hiring a number of new staff members, including assistant manager, front of house, kitchen team and bar staff.
