Pub poo dog owner comes forward and says sorry with chocolates

The owner of a dog that was in a pub in Bristol has come forward to apologise - and give Ferrero Rocher chocolates to say sorry.

The dog’s owner, who is remaining anonymous, saw the appeal by Ian Pace, the landlord of the Star Inn at Pucklechurch on Bristol Live on Saturday.

And now, after the gestures of contrition, Mr Pace said he wanted to ‘thank them for their honesty’, for coming forward.

Mr Pace shared a CCTV clip of the dog, believed to be a labradoodle or similar poodle cross breed, after the little present was discovered in the conservatory of the pub on Friday night.

The CCTV showed the dog trying to get out of the back door of the pub in South Gloucestershire, but finding it shut, so it did its business on the conservatory carpet, while customers in the busy bar were completely unaware.

On Saturday, after the dog’s owner walked into the pub with a big apology.

They brought flowers and, ironically enough, Ferrero Rocher chocolate, apologised and offered to pay the clean up costs.

Mr Pace said: “The dog owner has come forward and has apologised.

“Also they offered to pay for any damages, plus brought in these. I want to truly thank them for their honesty,” he added.
