A pub landlord has sparked fury and been branded ‘out of touch’ for hosting a topless barmaid night.
Glenn Chadwick arranged the night at the hostelry he runs, but insisted the events were "no different from hosting a stag do".
He arranged a night for regulars at the bar which he manages, amid claims the event was for men only which Mr Chadwick denies.
After a first night was held, a second night was also planned where several bar staff wore "sexy outfits" as they served drinks to customers at Hardy’s in Dorchester, Dorset.
The move, however, attracted some unfavourable reactions.
But after a string of complaints about the nights being degrading to women, he has defended the events and said some of the guests wore less than the barmaids.

Mr Chadwick said the pub held an event on February 26 with one topless barmaid from 10pm to midnight.
He told Bridport News : "The following week, two women worked behind the bar were supposed to be topless, but instead just wore sexy outfits, but were not topless.
"I have spoken to licensing at Dorset Council and they have told me I'm legally allowed to do it. It's no different to having a stripper come in for a stag do."
A source told the paper the nights were out of touch and degrading to women.
Licensing chiefs will allow Mr Chadwick to hold such events on a single night every 28 days and he is not permitted to host any more than 11 events per year.
Dorset Council said that it had raised concerns about the nights with the pub area manager.
Mr Chadwick added: "I would tell people who have a problem to not come to these nights out."
"No-one is forcing them to. The events were held between 10pm and midnight, and they were not for men only.
The landlord conceded he had been having second thoughts about the events after the furore emerged about them.
A Dorset Council spokesman said: "We have had a meeting with the area manager and we understand that the matter has now been resolved."
Pubs have faced a tough time attracting punters in the wake of lockdown and many were forced to close.
