A pub has been cordoned off after a car was allegedly driven deliberately at a woman outside last night.
The woman was left in hospital with injuries after the incident near The Crusader pub in Clifton, Nottingham at about 12.20am today.
Nottinghamshire Police said a 23-year-old man has been arrested after what police described as a "targeted attack".
Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton said: “Officers were quickly on the scene of this incident and a car was stopped a short while later.
“We believe it was a targeted attack and all persons concerned are known to each other, there was no threat to the wider public.

"Violence is completely unacceptable on our streets and we will always take swift action when it is reported to us.”
Mark Knowles, 58, an electrician who lives in the area, told Nottinghamshire Live: "I didn’t hear anything and only found out this morning when a friend told me about the cordon.
"I had expected it to be loud at the pub but it was quiet, and closed by 11pm."
Another resident, who did not wish to be named, said: "Waking up seeing the police parked outside that pub is nothing out the ordinary sadly.
"We heard nothing only sirens around 10.45 but that may not have been for this."
Pubs yesterday opened for the first time in months across the country after being shut down during the coronavirus lockdown.
