Pub giant JD Wetherspoon puts seven sites up for sale

JD Wetherspoon has confirmed the appointment of CBRE and Savills to sell seven of its pubs.

The pub giant's properties, which are all held either freehold, or long leasehold, are located in town centres across England and Wales and are being considered for sale either individually, in small packages or as a portfolio.

Two further pubs, The Vulcan in Coatbridge and The Isaac Pitman in Trowbridge, are already under offer.

  • Bury - The Robert Peel
  • Leyton - The Drum
  • Swindon - The Sir Daniel Arms
  • Worcester - The Postal Order
  • Wrexham - The North & South Wales Bank

A spokesperson on behalf of the joint agents said: "Following the success of our earlier marketing campaigns for JD Wetherspoon we are delighted to be launching these seven outlets to the market.

"These sizeable venues are all fitted to a high standard which will make them appealing to a broad range of potential buyers."

JD Wetherspoons also confirmed that all fixtures and fittings with the exception of leased and branded items are available to be included within the sale.

The company added that staff will be transferred with the pubs upon completion in accordance with the TUPE regulations.
