PU plans to expand Cric Corridor

CHANDIGARH: Panjab University will expand the Cric Corridor, including private universities and colleges in it.

With this, students of these institutions will also be able to take advantage of the resources of the institutions included in the corridor. An open offer will be made to colleges or universities for this.

Cric Corridor was established by former VC Prof AK Grover and included major educational institutions. More than 60,000 students of these educational institutions are taking advantage of the resources of each other's colleges.

The corridor is aimed at enabling students with insufficient resources to tap those of better equipped institutions.

Sources said preparations are on to add libraries of 29 educational institutions online. Students of these institutions can go to any institute and get books issued. Students will also be able to read books online with a password.
