Arun Devra of Jodhpur topped this year’s pre-teachers eligibility test (PTET) conducted by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, which 212,931 candidates wrote on May 14.

The university declared the results on its official website on Thursday. About 80,000 less candidates applied for the exam last year.

Devra scored 515 out of 600 marks. Anuj Kumar and Manoj Nath Jyani, scoring 513 and 509, took the second and third positions.

Vinita Kumari of Jhunjhunu was the topper among the woman candidates, with 496 marks. Guddi Meena and Anju Dagar were second and third.

Candidates can check their results here.

The university also held, after four years, its admission test for integrated BEd courses in the science and arts streams. A total of 28,064 students took the test, held in 62 centres.

Lavish Raheja and Bhuvnesh Kumar were ranked first in the BSc BEd and BA BEd courses.

Vice chancellor Kailash Sodani congratulated the successful students.

Professor BP Saraswat said: “For the first time no complaints were received regarding questions or any other grievances related to the examination.”
