NEW DELHI: Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president PT Usha visited the ghats on the banks of the Sarayu River in Ayodhya on Monday ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Lalla.
PT Usha shared her experience on social media, posting pictures of her interaction with locals and devotees present at the sacred river.
In her post, PT Usha expressed, "Experienced tranquility and divine peace at the banks of the Sarayu River. The river stands testimony to the history of Ayodhya and Lord Ram, blessing the people even today with her riches."
The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Lalla is scheduled for Monday afternoon and will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saints, and various distinguished guests.
Sports personalities such as MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Ravichandran Ashwin have also been invited to the event.
The ceremony is set to commence at 12:30 p.m., and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced that it will include a musical event titled 'Mangal Dhwani.' The temple, constructed in the traditional Nagara style, features intricate sculptures of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses on its pillars and walls.
The foundation of the temple, built with a 14-meter-thick layer of roller-compacted concrete (RCC), mimics the appearance of artificial rock without using any iron. The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony holds immense significance in the construction and consecration of the temple, and it will be attended by a diverse gathering representing various spiritual and religious sects.
