'Psycho's reaction' - Nottingham Forest fans reflect on famous goal by player who divided opinion

"The youngster goes on and smashes it home!"

Those were the words of Colin Fray on BBC Radio Nottingham as Ben Osborn hammered in his famous goal against Derby County on this day in 2015.

Osborn went on to play more than 200 times for Forest before moving to Sheffield United in the summer of 2019.

Though he often divided opinion among the Nottingham Forest fanbase, Osborn's first goal for the club to seal a 2-1 win at Pride Park will universally be remembered fondly.

Here's a look at what supporters said on Twitter and Facebook pages on posts about the anniversary of the goal.

@Cristiano_1959 : One of the few I would welcome back, you know he won’t be here just for payday.

Perry: Never got the credit deserved. Good player and would play anywhere he was put. Good ol' Benny

Richard Leonard: Benny was a funny player and I don’t think we kinda knew how and where to utilise him best but good luck to him. Always tried his best and a corker against Derby.

Jan Francis: Scored two of my favourite goals in recent times, that one and the fourth against Leeds a couple of years back. Much maligned but always gave 100% for the team.

Simon Lomax: One I’ll never forget and never tire of watching... Psycho’s reaction was priceless
