Psychic Uri Geller claims he helped Scotland win against Serbia in bizarre tweet

Uri Geller claims his mystic powers gave the Tartan Army the boost they needed to beat Serbia last night.

And the famous TV psychic was so excited by the Scotland team's stunning victory, he's invited Scots to join him at his private island in the Firth of Forth.

As the nail-biting penalty shoot out for the UEFA Euro 2020 final playoff got underway, the Israeli-born illusionist was giving Steve Clarke's men a helping hand.

Spoon bender Uri was watching along with most of the nation and said he was channelling his energies to make Serbia miss a goal.

Clutching a Scotland top, he said: "I'm gonna make him miss, he's going to miss, he's not going to score, I believe in my power, I won't move the ball but he'll miss.

Then as his prediction came true, Uri added: "YES, YES, YES! I love you Scotland.

"We did it!"

Magician Uri became the owner of Lamb Island, a volcanic island on the Firth of Forth with historical connections to the pyramids and King Arthur, back in 2008.

The Lamb, is said to be small and uninhabited and is flanked by two "sheep dogs" – North and South Dog Islands – which are basically small skerries.

Uri then invited Scots to join him at his island for a bit of "inspiration".

He added: "I believe in in my powers. Well done Scotland I’m inviting you all to my private Scottish Island for more inspiration Lamb Island."

Celebrations are continuing up and down the country after last night's Scotland win.

Nicola Sturgeon led tributes, hailing the major victory - their first since 1998 - a 'lift for the country'.

The FM tweeted a GIF of herself celebrating and said: "Massive congratulations to Steve Clarke and the team.

"After 22 years, @ScotlandNT men are off to a major tournament.

"What a lift for the country. Well done!"

The win came after Ryan Christie had netted a goal earlier in the game but Serbia equalised in the last minute.

Scotland then clinched victory on penalties.

Earlier she sent rallying message on social media wishing manager Steve Clarke and his players 'the best of luck'.
