PSV chief addresses Denzel Dumfries future and admits no 'concrete offers' amid Everton rumours

PSV technical director John de Jong has addressed the future of Denzel Dumfries once more, admitting no "concrete offers" have yet been submitted for the defender.

The Dutch international has been linked with a potential transfer to Everton throughout the summer, with many reports suggesting Marcel Brands particularly holds an interest in the player.

The 25-year-old performed well for the Netherlands during their spell at Euro 2020 across the summer, and he has also recently been rumoured to interest Inter Milan among others.

Along with Donyell Malen, Dumfries is widely expected to leave PSV for pastures new this summer.

And De Jong admitted that himself, but claimed that no offers have yet come in for the pair.

He told Voetbal International [via SportWitness ]: "We are being kept informed by Mino Raiola, their manager .

"They know what we want, and we have given these players the space to start talking to interested clubs. If they have an agreement, then the club in question will report to us.

"At the moment, we haven’t received a single concrete offer.

"But that can, of course, change very quickly. If they have not yet come to an agreement, then Donyell and Denzel will report to us again on 18 July. But the chance that they both go is, of course, very high."

Everton are yet to making any new signings this summer, focusing most of their post-season efforts last month in bringing Rafa Benitez to the club to replace Carlo Ancelotti after his surprise departure.

The Spaniard will now work closely together with director of football Brands to bring quality to a number of areas of the pitch.

A long-term successor to Seamus Coleman has long been on the agenda for the Blues, and this summer could be the perfect time to ensure a player in that mould arrives at Goodison Park.
