PSNI stops school bus driver allegedly making a call while on M1

A bus driver carrying schoolchildren on the M1 was stopped by police because he was allegedly making a call on his mobile phone.

Police claimed that he was "making a call on his mobile phone while going down the M1 in wet conditions".

They said that the driver is "liable for points and fines".

PSNI Road Policing said: "Thankfully this is a rare sight... a driver driving schoolchildren, making a call on his mobile phone while going down the M1 in wet conditions.

"The dangers involved are blatantly obvious... After being stopped by Mahon Rd RPU the driver is now liable for points and fines."
