The PSNI says a driver they stopped for allegedly speeding said: "I've only had a few shots."
Officers said that after a quick test "he blew over double the drink-drive limit".
Police in Lisburn and Castlereagh took to Twitter this morning detailing the incident.
In the post, they said: "'I've only had a few shots'.
"The response given by a driver who we stopped, after we saw him speeding through Lisburn.
"After a quick breath test, he blew over double the drink-drive limit.
"The result; A night in a cell, a trip to court in the future and a lengthy driving ban."
