PSNI seize suspected drugs worth estimated £3,000 in West Belfast

Police have arrested a 28-year-old man after a suspected drug seizure in West Belfast.

Suspected Class B and Class C drugs worth an estimated £3,000 were seized from a property in the Whiterock area by the PSNI this morning.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.

Sergeant Rogan said: "This latest seizure removes incredibly harmful drugs from the community.

"The local Neighbourhood Policing Team is determined to continue to conduct searches to disrupt and prevent the flow of drugs to the streets and put those involved in the illegal drugs trade before the courts.

"I would encourage anyone with information about the supply of illegal drugs to get in touch with police on 101.

"Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
