PSNI name man who died in Co Down crash as David Gerard Edwards

Police have released the name of the man who died after a collision in Moira on Saturday.

In a statement issued on Monday, the PSNI confirmed that 60-year-old David Gerard Edwards from the Agahlee area passed away at the scene.

The two-vehicle crash happened at the Lany Road in Moira, on April 3.

Sergeant Mackenzie said: "At around 3:20pm on Saturday afternoon, it was reported that a Yellow JCB telehandler vehicle and a Red Ducati motorbike were involved in the collision.

"The motorcyclist sadly passed away at the scene following the incident.

"Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or why may have dash-cam footage available, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1185 of 03/04/21."
