PSNI: Man 'stabbed' during reported street fight in North Belfast

Police are appealing for information after an alleged altercation in North Belfast on Monday morning.

It was reported just after 5.25am this morning that two males were fighting in the Ballynure Street area.

A male, aged 30, was taken to hospital for stab wounds and was subsequently arrested for common assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

Detective Sergeant McCartan added: "A second male, aged 22, was arrested for wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, threats to kill and possessing an article with a blade in a public place.

"Enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, and in particular anyone who may have any dash cam or other footage, to call us on 101, quoting reference number 506 of 27/12/21.
