PSNI issue appeal after men ordered into van at gunpoint before being attacked

Two men were ordered at gunpoint to enter a van in North Belfast before being driven to the Black Mountain and assaulted.

Detectives investigating the incident on Thursday night have made a specific appeal around the movements of a vehicle reported to have been involved.

It's reported that at around 8.05pm, two men on Dunblane Avenue were ordered into a white Berlingo van and driven away to the Black Mountain.

One of the men was then assaulted before the van travelled onto the Oldpark area.

Detective Inspector O’Flaherty said: "We are working to establish exactly what occurred last night and we need the public’s help in establishing the movements of the van reported to have been involved.

"If you were in any of these areas between 7:45pm and 9pm and believe you saw this van, or have captured it on your dash cam, please contact our detectives at Musgrave on 101 and quote reference number 1620 10/12/20.

"You can also submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via  http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/or  you can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at  http://crimestoppers-uk.org/."
