PSNI investigating arson attack at property in Co Tyrone

Police say they are treating a fire in Co Tyrone this morning as deliberate.

Detectives are investigating the suspected arson attack at a house in the Camowen Cottages area of Omagh at around 4am.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a fire at a house in the Camowen Cottages, officers attended and the fire had already been extinguished.

"The property suffered significant damage in the kitchen of the property.

"Enquiries are continuing and at this stage, the fire is being treated as deliberate.

"Detectives would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 315 25/07/20.
