PSNI dog Jonno sniffs out substantial illegal drugs haul

A police dog has helped PSNI officers to locate a substantial quantity of suspected class A and class C controlled drugs in Co Antrim.

Jonno the Springer Spaniel was working with officers from Lisburn station on Wednesday.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "He was assisting with searches at a house after an arrest was made for possession of a substantial quantity of suspect class A and class C controlled drugs.

"Jonno was able to locate further illegal drugs in the property using his powerful nose. A very clever dog.

"Two people were arrested at this incident, drugs seized and those arrested persons are currently assisting police with enquiries."
