PSNI dealing with over 120 young people in Belfast park

Police say they are concerned that young people are engaging in anti-social behaviour this evening.

Officers are currently dealing with upwards of 120 youths in the Hammer Park and Lower Shankill area.

It's reported that some are "terrifying local residents".

A PSNI spokesperson said: " Court North Neighbourhood Officers are dealing with 120+ young people in Hammer Park and Lower Shankill.

"Most are fine but a small number are throwing bottles and terrifying local residents, including a nearby older person's home. Alcohol has been seized and police are in the area."
