A tree hit into a car last night with the occupants of the vehicle managing to escape with only "minor injuries".
Electric cables also came down during the incident in Cookstown, Co Tyrone, as the road was closed for a number of hours.
Around 11pm on Saturday, the PSNI said: "We're currently dealing with Road Traffic Collision where a tree that has come down onto a car on the Dungannon Road opposite the 24hr Maxol.
"Electric cables have also come down so the ROAD IS CLOSED between the main roundabout and the junction at ASDA. Diversions via Sandholes Road / Sweep Road
"Thankfully only minor injuries to those in the car."
In a later post, PSNI Cookstown said: "Cable's fixed. Power's on. Tree's cleared. Road's reopened.
"Top job from the NIE boys working through some seriously grim weather to get everything fixed before the morning.
"Also a big thank you to Mikey D's for the coffees to keep us warm and to the Maxol 24hr for use of facilities.
" Stormy weather is easing a bit now but we're still finding fences and branches down with a lot of debris on the roads. Drive safe."
