PSNI conduct searches after reports of suspicious objects left in Belfast

Police investigating reports that suspicious objects had been left in North Belfast and in Belfast city centre have conducted a number of searches.

Inspector Paul Noble said: “Police received reports at 12.40pm this afternoon that a device had been left on the Antrim Road in North Belfast and a second device had been left in the Brougham Street area of Belfast city centre.

"Searches have been carried out and nothing untoward has been found.

"I want to take this opportunity to appeal to the local community and people travelling through these areas, if anyone comes across anything suspicious, they should contact police immediately.

“Anyone with information about this incident, or who saw any suspicious activity in area in recent days, is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 715 of 29/06/20."
