Police have issued an urgent public appeal after an elderly man was injured in a 'serious incident' earlier this evening.
Officers say the 'serious incident' in Banbridge happened at 6.20pm in an alleyway.
They're urging anyone with dash cam footage to come forward as well as a number of pedestrians who were in the area at the time.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Folks we need your help with a serious incident in Banbridge that happened at 620pm in the alley behind McKinstry's shop and Mountview Park. As a result, an elderly gent was injured.
"We urgently need dash cam footage from anyone who was driving in the area of Dromore Street or Mountview Park between 6pm and 620pm. We also know there were pedestrians in the area at that time.
"A dark coloured car left the alleyway onto Mountview at the end of that timeframe and went in an unknown direction.
"We need your help to identify the vehicle and where it went.
"Please call 101 immediately if you can help. The reference is 1567 of 21/01/20."
