PSNI appeal to parents after 'drinking crowd run off dropping bottles and shoe'

Police are appealing to parents after a crowd 'ran off dropping bottles of vodka, buckfast and a shoe'.

Officers are urging parents to know where their children are after the incident this evening.

A post on the PSNI Lisburn and Castlereagh Facebook page said: "Our colleagues from Lisburn City Watch advised us of a crowd down at the civic centre, drinking in the garden of reflection.

"As we arrived alot of them ran off, dropping bottles of vodka, buckfast etc and also a shoe.

"If you are missing a shoe and want it back then you are welcome to come and pick it up at Lisburn station.

"Yet again litter has been left everywhere in an area for residents to enjoy.

"Names have been taken and will be forwarded to our youth diversion officer and parents contacted.

"Parents, again I appeal to you to know where your children are this evening. Lisburn City Neighbourhood Team."
