PSNI appeal after pub's windows smashed

Police are appealing for information after a number of windows were smashed in a pub on Friday night.

The incident, at a Co Tyrone venue, took place sometime between 11.30 and 11.45pm.

Officers say a "significant amount of damaged was caused" to the property on Main Street, Fintona.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police in Omagh are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage to a pub in the Main Street area of Fintona yesterday evening (18 June).

"Sometime between approximately 11.30pm and 11.45pm, a significant amount of damage was caused to the front of the property with windows also being smashed.

"Anyone with any information or who may have seen anyone suspicious in the area is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 2544 of 18/06/21.


"Alternatively, you can submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org/."

Meanwhile, police are investigating after a toddler wound up in intensive care with a significant amount of cannabis in their system in Belfast. Five people have been arrested.

The two-year-old boy is said to be stable in hospital after being put on a ventilator.
