PSG's Neymar at risk of missing Champions League final after coronavirus protocol breach

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar could be at risk of missing this weekend’s Champions League final after seeming to break Uefa’s coronavirus protocols.

After PSG emerged 3-0 winners against RB Leipzig in Tuesday’s semi-final in Lisbon, Neymar swapped shirts with opponent Marcel Halstenberg.

Reports ahead of the Champions League’s return indicated that any player who swapped shirts after fixtures would need to self-isolate for twelve days, which would rule the Brazilian out of the final.

PSG will take on either Bayern Munich or Lyon – who meet in this evening’s semi-final – in the showpiece match on Sunday.

Goals from Marquinhos, Angel Di Maria and Juan Bernat saw PSG cruise past Bundesliga outfit Leipzig.

Although Neymar’s finishing was lacking, he was one of his team’s best performers, hitting the post twice and troubling the Leipzig defence throughout.

Neymar has scored three goals and recorded four assists in his six appearances in the Champions League so far this term.

PSG have never before won the competition.
