PSG make Moise Kean admission and confirm Everton loan agreement details

Paris Saint-Germain director of football Leonardo has commented on Moise Kean and admitted the French side had been following the striker for some time.

However, he also confirmed that the Ligue 1 champions had no automatic purchase option for the Everton forward as part of his loan deal.

The 20-year-old completed a temporary switch to the Parc des Princes in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

And he has hit the ground running during his time in France so far.

Kean has bagged five goals in seven appearances for his new side already since leaving Merseyside, including two in the Champions League against Istanbul Basaksehir.

That has led to some questions about the striker's future beyond the end of 2020/21.

But PSG's director of football confirmed that, while the Everton man is someone the club admires, there is no purchase option in the deal.

Leonardo said at a press conference [via SportWitness ]: “There is no purchase option for Moise Kean.

“It would, unfortunately, be very high. He is an excellent player, whom we have been following for a while, a very powerful player!”

Before leaving for France, Kean scored two goals in four appearances for the Blues in 2020/21 - with both strikes coming in the League Cup in matches against Salford City and Fleetwood Town.
