Will he or won't he? That has been the question on everyone's lips as Manchester City prepare to lock horns with fellow Champions League contenders Paris Saint-Germain.
On the back of a high-profile summer switch to France, Barcelona great Lionel Messi picked up a knee injury while making one of three early appearances for the big-spending Ligue 1 side.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner had initially been viewed as a doubt for the showdown vs City tonight (8pm).
However, after sitting out a victory over Montpellier - which saw star-studded PSG extend their winning start to the latest domestic season - the Argentina forward, now 34, has trained with his teammates before getting down to business against the Premier League champions.
Messi was nursing an issue with his left knee, but is expected to be included in PSG's matchday squad.
During his pre-match press conference, former Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino said: "[Messi] is progressing very well and I think he'll be in the squad, but I don't know if he'll start.
"He's the best player in the world, but he's still a human like everyone else. He also needs to adapt to this new team, new culture and new country. He was at Barcelona for 20 years, everything is new here for him.
"With time, I have no doubt that everything will go well and we're going to have real success together."

Pochettino added: "A first test? I don't think so. We've had a different challenge in each game. The start of the season hasn't been easy, because we have got players back gradually. Since we've had a complete squad, we've worked.
"We know the expectations on us and we know we have to work with responsibility and rigour."
