Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel’s half-time talk trying to lift his team to a Champions League semi-final has cost the club €30,000.
Uefa announced on Friday that its disciplinary panel had imposed the fine and also warned Tuchel “for being responsible for the late kick-off” to restart Wednesday’s quarter-final in Lisbon.
PSG trailed Atalanta 1-0 at half-time then dominated the second half before scoring twice in the closing minutes to advance to their first semi-final in Europe’s elite competition in 25 years.
Tuchel, who was sporting a leg brace due to a sprained ankle and fractured fifth metatarsal that he suffered during a club workout session, was seated yet animated throughout.
Uefa often fines clubs for being late from the locker room to start the second half, which can affect broadcasters’ schedules.
PSG next play RB Leipzig on Tuesday, with the winner earning a spot in the Champions League final.
On the other side of the draw are Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Lyon.
