PSG boss Thomas Tuchel drops Thiago Silva exit hint following links with Everton

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted Thiago Silva is likely to leave the club this summer, but hasn't given up on keeping him at the Ligue 1 side.

The Brazilian is out of contract this summer and, having played under Carlo Ancelotti in Paris after joining the club back in 2012, the 35-year-old has been linked with a move to Everton as a result.

Previously the French club had confirmed his club contract would not be extended, however, unlike Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier, Silva did agree a short-term extension to complete the Champions League campaign with the Parisians rather than opt to depart at the start of the month.

But while Tuchel admits he currently looks like his captain will indeed move on, he has not ruled out keeping him at the Parc des Princes.

"He's our player, he's our captain, and we need to talk about this after the Champions League," he said after PSG's 4-0 friendly win over Celtic on Tuesday night.

"Today is the time to be focused. It looks like he's going to leave, but in football, you never know."
