PSA: Harry Styles' Pleasing brand just launched an adult toy, and it's remarkably chic

Harry Styles has made a career out of doing the unexpected.

One moment he's selling out arenas decked in sequins and chiffon; the next he’s fronting a lifestyle brand featuring everything from playful nail polishes to fashion, fragrance and homewares. Now, in what might be his most eyebrow-raising move yet, the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker has launched an adult toy.

In news that has sent certain parts of the internet into meltdown, the gadget – officially “The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator” – is sleek, pastel-toned, and deliberately design-led. You could mistake it for an innocent ornament at first glance. The accompanying lube (RRP £25) also rather resembles a posh hair serum you might keep on your nightstand (but please, don’t mix up the two).

It retails at £68 and was designed in collaboration with sex educator, entertainer, artist, and journalist Zoë Ligon.

It’s made from medical-grade silicone, is water-resistant (IPX6), and features a spherical ergonomic shape intended for external stimulation, with seven vibration settings and two motors. The handle also doubles up as an internal vibrator thanks to the dual motors.

Pleasing launched back in 2021 with a set of nail polishes in playful duos and trios. Since then, it’s expanded into a wider lifestyle space, offering serums, moisturisers, fragrances, and limited-edition collaborations spanning fashion, homeware, and accessories – all designed and curated with the tagline of “finding your Pleasing”.

Now, and rather more explicitly, it’s all about “pleasing yourself.” That phallic keyring collaboration with Jonathan Anderson was probably an Easter Egg.

It’s not exactly shocking, but he’s not playing it safe either. As someone who’s built his entire image on challenging traditional ideas of gender, sex, and style, releasing a sex toy feels less like a publicity stunt and more like an extension of that ethos. The fact that it’s come from the same man who repeatedly declares “this is a family show!” at his concerts, followed by knowing “or is it?” makes perfect sense, the more you think about it.

(Pleasing)

There’s more to it than chic bedroom accessories, too.

Alongside the launch, Pleasing has announced a collaboration with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) on a broad effort to educate the public about sexual health and wellness. The wellness brand and PPFA are also set to release a series of educational videos to educate and empower people to make informed, confident choices about their sexual health.

Does Harry Styles need a sex toy in his Pleasing line-up? Probably not. But hey, that’s never been the point.

The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator and Lube is – fittingly – coming soon. You’ll be able to buy it from 4pm on Friday, July 25.

The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator

Retailing at £68, the remarkably chic Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator is made from soft-touch medical-grade silicone with a contrasting ABS base.

Designed in collaboration with sex educator Zoë Ligon, it features a rounded head for external stimulation and an insertable handle for internal use. There are seven vibration settings powered by dual motors, and it’s rechargeable via a USB port (180 minutes for a full charge gives you 60 minutes of use).

At 18.5cm long and 133g, it’s water-resistant (IPX6 rated) and best paired with water-based lubricant. Clean with warm water and mild soap.

The Pleasing Lube

The Pleasing Lube is a silicone-based formula designed for long-lasting glide and minimal interruption.

It’s safe for use during vaginal, anal, or oral sex, and is fully compatible with most condoms and non-silicone toys. The glycerin-free, FDA-approved formulation resists drying out and leaves no sticky residue. Housed in a sleek tapered bottle, it fits neatly into the wider Pleasing aesthetic: functional, inclusive, and elevated.

Clean-up is easy with warm water and soap, and a little goes a long way.
