After months of anticipation, the PlayStation 5 finally went on sale last month.
Eager fans flocked to buy the PS5, with retailers across the UK selling out in record time.
While many people are still hopeful that there will be further stock drops before Christmas, unfortunately the chances of this are looking slimmer by the minute.
This week, Argos confirmed that it will not be getting any more PlayStation 5 consoles until 2021.
A notice on its website reads: “Sorry, PlayStation 5 is currently unavailable. We will not have any further stock for the rest of 2020.”
Currys PC World has also sold out of consoles, simply stating that it is ‘working tirelessly to secure more stock.’
Meanwhile Amazon is also out of PS5's, and says that it does not know when, or if, they will be back in stock.
Sony boss Jim Ryan has also confirmed that ‘absolutely everything is sold.’
Speaking to TASS News Agency, he said: “Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold.
“I’ve spent much of the last year trying to be sure that we can generate enough demand for the product. And now in terms of my executive bandwidth I’m spending a lot more time on trying to increase supply to meet that demand.”

- Currys - Expecting more stock before end of the year.
- Very - more stock expected 'soon', shoppers advised to regularly check the website for next drop.
- John Lewis - no word yet on when the retailer is expecting to restock. The retailer also confirms online that "Unfortunately, PlayStation 5 consoles will not be available for purchase at our John Lewis & Partners shops or from our contact centres"
- Asda - Expected to restock in December.
Tesco - no word yet on when the retailer is expecting to restock.
