Thursday marked the official Irish release of the long-awaited PlaySation 5.
The futuristic-looking console, which features next-generation gameplay and impressive 8K graphics support (something fans have been eagerly wanting to explore themselves), flew off the shelves.
Both the Digital Edition (€399.99) and the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive €499.99 versions were available to purchase online at a number of retailers.
But on Thursday the sheer demand for the console caused Tesco, John Lewis, and Game websites to crash first thing in the morning.
Here is the latest on stock availability in Irish stores if you missed out.
Smyths Ireland

Smyths Ireland expect to have stock available in December.
They added: "If you have already placed a pre-order, your order will be available on release day, Thursday 19th November. We are working to make more stock avalable for pre-order. Please check back soon for stock availability updates."
Tesco Ireland
A quick search on the Tesco Ireland website for the PS5 states that the product is currently out of stock.
Tesco adds that for the time being: "This product is only available for delivery from Tuesday 24th November to Friday 27th November."
PC World
Curry's PC World also released a statement which disappointed gamers that were eager to buy the new console.
"We are working super hard to get more stock. Please check our social channels for further updates on availability," they said.
Harvey Norman
The retailer said that for the time being, they will only have the disc editions of the PS5.
In a statement that was released, Harvey Norman said: "We are only selling online and there are no units available in store.
"Traffic was significantly up on our site this morning which has caused some problems, however, we encourage customers to be patient and refresh the page. When our online stock is gone we will update our web/page social channels.
"For the latest updates encourage customers to check Facebook/Instagram etc"

Amazon
Amazon are currently out of stock with no date yet for restock.

But many shoppers who had pre-ordered were also left disappointed.

A number of Amazon customers were notified that orders were being delayed on the Irish launch day.
One person who wasn't disappointed was Mayo GAA powerhouse and captain Aidan O'Shea.
He posted on twitter: "PS5 has arrived thanks to Play Station Ireland ! Xmas has come early! Gifted"
