Playstation has confirmed that more PS5 consoles will be released this year after "unprecedented" demand.
Thousands of people were left devastated after their Christmas present plans were thrown into doubt as the product sold out everywhere almost immediately.
However the company has offered a lifeline as they announced that more inventory would be heading to Ireland.
Customers were told to stay in contact their local retailers.
Playstation Ireland wrote on Twitter: "We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever.
"Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year - please stay in touch with your local retailers."
And we have looked at the major retailers across Ireland to see if they are currently offering any further products for sale.
Argos Ireland has confirmed that while they are currently out of stock of PS5's, but they will have more for sale soon.
Harvey Norman's website has told customers that they are also currently sold out of PS5 consoles.
Tesco Ireland had been selling the PS5 for €499.99 on their website, but said they were currently unavailable. It is not clear if they will be restocked this year.
PC World has also admitted that their PS5's are out of stock, but there was some optimism as they said they are working hard to refresh their supply, and advised customers to follow their social media channels for updates.
They wrote on Twitter: "We know that this is disappointing news, and we are working super hard to get more stock. Please check our social channels for further updates on availability."
