Provisional ballots are proving to be a statewide problem in Ohio. The main problem according to the blogger Jill Zimon spoke to the secretary of state's office in Ohio:
The cases appeared to primarily involve poll workers seeing one name on the driver's license or ID and a different one on the registration rolls.
The blog ProgressOhio says that 15% of ballots at one polling place in Columbus were provisional ballots. The Ohio Republican Party has already filed a lawsuit over provisional ballots. Things are becoming so acrimonious in Ohio that Democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has been assigned a bodyguard.
If the vote is close, this election will be decided (again) in the courts.
