'Proved Ole wrong!' - Manchester United fans go crazy after Jadon Sancho scores vs Chelsea

After soaking up a wave of first half pressure, Jadon Sancho handed Manchester United a 50th minute lead against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

With virtually everyone forward to attack a free-kick, Chelsea were caught out on the counter-attack by the Reds, with Sancho robbing midfielder Jorginho of possession just inside the Blues' half, before bursting through on goal and burying a low shot beyond Edouard Mendy in the Blues goal.

Bursting though, Sancho looked set to put the ball on a plate for Marcus Rashford to tap home into an empty net, but the summer signing from Borussia Dortmund kept his composure to net his first Premier League goal.

Fresh from scoring his first United goal in midweek against Villarreal, it is now two goals in as many games for the England international, who raced away to celebrate with the travelling contingent of United fans behind the goal.

Whilst he celebrated with those that had made the trip to the capital, United's supporters watching at home, unsurprisingly, took to social media to celebrate Sancho handing Michael Carrick's side a shock lead.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some United supporters have had to say in reaction to Sancho's first Premier League strike.

After getting their noses in front, United continued to carry a threat on the counter-attack through Sancho and Rashford. By getting the game's first goal, United were able to drag Chelsea out and push higher up the pitch, opening up more space for themselves to counter-attack in.

However, Chelsea have since found a route back into the contest, with Jorginho converting a 69th minute penalty, after Aaron Wan-Bissaka was guilty of bringing down Thiago Silva.

Meanwhile, Sancho has since been taken off and replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo, after, seemingly, picking up a minor knock.
