'Proud' moment for local charity amid generous Nottingham Forest shirt gesture

Nottingham Forest will feature the logo of local charity Framework on their shirts against Bristol City tomorrow.

Last week, the Reds agreed a deal with BOXT to be front-of-shirt sponsors for the final games of the season after previous sponsors Football Index went into administration.

And as part of the agreement, BOXT donated the space reserved for their logo to Nottingham-based charity Framework for this weekend’s clash at Ashton Gate.

“This is a fantastic and extremely generous gesture by BOXT, who have been a valuable addition to the Forest family this season,” said the Reds’ chief commercial officer, David Cook.

Will James Garner be back at Nottingham Forest next season?

“To offer the shirt sponsorship to charity demonstrates the values of BOXT and we thank Andy Kerr (BOXT founder) and the team for such a thoughtful initiative.”

Forest have a long-standing relationship with Framework and recently supported the charity’s ‘Homeless to Home’ challenge, a campaign to help tackle homelessness in the city and across the East Midlands.

BOXT are also donating other marketing opportunities to Framework, including LED pitch-side advertising and seat banners at the City Ground.

BOXT founder and CEO Andy Kerr said: “We are proud to use our new partnership with Forest to support the local charity Framework.

“We have seen the priceless work of Framework to help prevent homelessness and are pleased we can help raise awareness of their efforts.”

Framework deliver housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and Sheffield.

“We greatly appreciate the strength of our relationship with Nottingham Forest and the support we receive from the club and its thousands of loyal supporters,” said Framework chief executive Andrew Redfern.

“Together they provide an unparalleled opportunity to raise awareness of homelessness, as well as the work we do to tackle it.

“That support is increased further by BOXT so generously donating a range of promotional opportunities and we are proud that the Framework logo will be on the famous Forest shirt for the first time ever tomorrow.

“We say a sincere ‘thank you’ to all involved.”
