Demonstrations in Iraq on behalf of journalists working in the country are to be held on Thursday (June 15), organised by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ). Aidan White, the IFJ's general secretary, says the protests will highlight the "unspeakable suffering" of media workers in a country where press freedom is virtually non-existent because of the targeting of journalists by warring factions.
