Protests mark Lebanon’s 75th independence day from France

Lebanon is observing its 75th anniversary of independence from France, but there is little to celebrate for its people.

There has been no government for six months as politicians argue about power-sharing.

People have taken to the streets to show their frustration with a sectarian political system that they say breeds corruption and incompetence.
