Leaders of a group of anti-government demonstrators in Bangkok said they are determined to go to Government House to call for the resignation of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

The Thalufah group said on Wednesday protesters would not be discouraged by riot police trying to block their way towards the office of the prime minister, since so many people had died of Covid-19.

Thalufah members gathered at Nang Loeng intersection for the fourth consecutive day. They were countered by police as they were trying to approach Government House.

Nang Loeng has become another protest site -- in addition to Din Daeng -- where young demonstrators under the Thalugaz banner hold daily rallies as they try to reach the residence of Gen Prayut inside the 1st Infantry Regiment.
