On Wednesday morning, New Orleans Saints star QB Drew Brees told Yahoo Finance that he didn’t like players disrespecting the American flag with peaceful protests during the playing of the national anthem before games.
It didn’t take long for teammates, numerous NFL players, Lakers star LeBron James, and many other people to rightly criticize Brees for his ignorant statements.
On Wednesday night, protesters in New Orleans let Brees know what they felt about those comments, as they let out a (EXPLETIVE) Drew Brees! chant in the streets of a city where Brees was considered a god up until this morning.
