Protesters have climbed the scaffolding surrounding the Houses of Parliament.
Police are at the scene after the activists managed to get into the site of the Palace of Westminster.
They descended on the central London site at around 6.15am today, police said.
“Officers are on scene and are engaging with the protestors,” said the Metropolitan Police.
People who had watched the protesters scale the scaffolding, suggested on social media that they had gained access from the River Thames.

At 10.30am Scotland Yard said the incident was still ongoing with police officers remaining at the scene.
It comes after an activist scaled the scaffolding near Big Ben last month and unfurled banners protesting a range of topics, including Tier 3 coronavirus lockdowns.
The man waved at photographers as he sat on the scaffolding alongside the banners, which also mentioned Black Lives Matter.
Following the incident on October 22, a Parliament spokesman said they were conducting a security review.
