Protesters chant ‘stop the bombing’ and demand end to Iran war

Thousands of protesters marched through central London to the US embassy, calling for an end to US and Israeli strikes on Iran.
Between 5,000 and 6,000 people attended the 'Hands Off Iran' demonstration, chanting “Stop the bombing now” and carrying placards against military action.
Ex-Labour MP Zarah Sultana and Jeremy Corbyn warned against Britain being drawn into another “illegal war”, drawing parallels with the 2003 Iraq invasion.
The protest occurred amidst statements from Donald Trump that Iran was being “beaten to hell” and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's response.
The Metropolitan Police reported four arrests during the event, including one for inciting racial hatred and another for a racially aggravated public order offence.
