The bond between a dog and it’s owner is unbreakable, it’s one you won’t really understand unless you’re a devoted pawrent yourself.
But more and more of us are starting to experience this for ourselves with so many people becoming dog owners during the pandemic, many for the first time.
And that bond extends to the wider members of the family too, after all, our dogs are as much a member of the brood as anyone else.
One dog who’s proved how strong his relationship is with her humans is five-month-old Great Dane Lisa.
The adorable pup is obviously very protective as she blocks a baby trying to climb the stairs.
The heartwarming moment has been posted on Tik Tok by @hsearfoss with a caption that read: “Lisa the Nanny Dog. Time to put up a gate!”
The video has been viewed 11.7 million views and received 1.7 million likes.
One commented: “Dogs are so smart. Around little babies they always protect them like their own babies.”
