Protect Your Planet Weekend is coming to Dublin and here's how you can get tickets

An event offering fun activities aimed to inspire families to protect our planet is coming to Dublin.

The Protect our Planet Weekend will see a range of workshops, tours, and talks hosted by SSE Airtricity and Dublin Zoo on August 24 and 25.

The weekend line up will also see popular artist and writer Don Conroy, and award-winning art director and author Aga Grandowicz take to the stage at the lawn at Haughton House, Dublin Zoo.

Don will reprise his famous ‘Draw with Don’ segment, using it to educate young and old alike on the importance of conservation.

Aga is co-author of Dr Hibernica Finch's Compelling Compendium of Irish Animals, a book she co-created through her passion for biodiversity and woodland animals.

Aga will host a number of readings and drawing workshops aimed at helping younger readers understand environmental themes like sustainability and biodiversity.

Kids will also have the opportunity to take part in mini worm excavation, the ‘Bug Hotel’, and a tour of SSE Airtricity’s Eco Explorer Trail with Eco Ranger Rob.

There will also be face-painting, arts and crafts workshops, and a Wild Welcoming Garden where kids will learn about the power of bees.
